Myanmar Private TVET Association (MPTA)
I am Ms. Theint Theint Htun, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Academy for Skills and Knowledge (ASK) which is well known as one of the first private institutes to conduct competency-based training in Myanmar. I was a former Technical Advisor to Myanmar Private TVET Association (MPTA), Chief Assessor of National Skills Standard Authority (NSSA) Myanmar and also working group member of NSSA Myanmar. Now, I am working as School Founder, Master Trainer, Competency-based Curriculum Developer and HR Consultant as my career.
I graduated from Yangon University for my science degree. I achieved Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from “abe” of UK and Diploma in business law from Yangon University. I was recognized as a Master Trainer for multiplying Competency-based Curriculum Development Specialist, from Singapore Polytechnic, Master Trainer for Coaching Programme from Singapore ITE college and I have studied Developing Quality Assurance Framework for National TVET Education from Singapore Polytechnic. I extended my further studies in teaching pedagogy and TVET development from Magdeburg University, Germany and development of multipliers in the field of TVET teaching training in Regional Cooperation Programme (RECOTVET) from Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) with Deutsche Gesellschaft fűr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. I visited many countries such as Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Germany to learn about TVET sector development and apprenticeship programme.
I started my career at Myanmar Human Resources (MHR) Management Institute in 2006 as a course manager and junior HR consultant till 2013. I picked up great experience at MHR by working side by side with well-known HR specialist Professor U Aye Kyaw, the Founder and Principal of MHR. After that, I founded ASK in 2014 with the ideas that learned from TVET-developed countries and designed the competency-based curriculum to deliver at my own academy. I have already gathered more than 15 years of excellent experience in local and international education sector (both academic and TVET) and trained manager/supervisor level employees from more than 30 organizations including banks, hotels, production and distribution companies.

My name is Myat Myat Myo. I am an electrical engineer as well as a trainer. When I was working as a government officer at MTE, I created training programs for the Timber Industry Work Force to enhance their skills. I also served for 10 years in the Technical Working Group of NSSA, focusing on Skill Development Assessment. In 2013, I completed specialized training in pedagogy at Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore.
I completed an Executive MBA at Yangon Institute of Economic in 2019 . This experience improves my understanding of economic dynamics and management strategies, empowering me to facilitate organizational growth and make meaningful contributions to vocational education training.
After resigning from Myanmar Timber Enterprise (MTE), as a freelance trainer, I shared my skills in Skill Management and Basic Teaching Methods in the TOT Training Program at CVT. Currently, I am working as a trainer for On-the-Job Training (OJT) skills training at Myanmar Private TEVET Association. I strongly believe that my experience and knowledge will help our organization develop and I am eager to share them where needed.
